Lantern Workshops

In advance of the Lantern Parade, Playmakers! Theatre School will be organising a number of community-based workshops so that children, adults, families and friends will have the opportunity to make their own lanterns to carry in the lantern procession.

Workshops are open to all - but please note that children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Feel free to arrive at any time, but please allow at least 2 hours to complete your lantern and let it dry.
Lantern materials will be provided on a Pay-What-You-Can basis. A recommended donation of $10 per lantern is appreciated!
Lantern accessories (LED lights and carry-poles) and kits will be available for a small donation at most workshops.
All lanterns must be taken away at the close of each workshop. There is no place to store lanterns - not even overnight.

Join us at the Stratford Perth Museum and make your own unique lantern to carry at the Stratford Lantern Parade.

Ready-made lanterns and lantern kits and accessories will be available!

Thursday, September 26

5 pm - 10 pm

Join us at Market Square to build a lantern for the Stratford Lantern Parade. While you're there, enjoy all the entertainment and offerings from crafters young and old!
