The Young Actors' Guild (YAG) is Playmakers!' flagship program for students serious about performance and stagecraft.

All Young Actors' Guild students work from a scripted text, culminating in two public performances each year—one in December and one in May.

Divided into three distinct levels, the Guild provides a comprehensive and rigorous pathway for young actors to develop their artistry over a two-term season.

Apprentice (Ages 8–10): Beginners are welcome to join this level, which focuses on developing core technique. Students enjoy theatre games and exercises designed to build teamwork, focus, memory, and literacy skills while gaining the confidence to express themselves.

Journeyman (Ages 11–13):  Actors continue to enhance performing arts techniques. The curriculum deepens skills in creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration, applying these abilities to scripted work.

Master Class (Ages 14–18):  This advanced class continues to challenge and inspire young actors with high-level artistic instruction.

Programs at all levels may utilize a wide range of theatre disciplines, including improvisation, voice, music and movement, mime, mask work, and even stage combat, all serving the ultimate goal of strong public performance.

The Young Actors' Guild requires a serious level of commitment with at home work and demands top priority in the weeks before a performance.
